A motor home is an agricultural machine that can be used for all kinds of work in the garden: digging, fertilising, aerating, sowing or cultivating the soil, flowerbeds, gardens, orchards, etc. They allow the soil to be removed in depth and prepare the land for cultivation.
A power tiller or single-axle tractor is a special single-axle self-propelled vehicle, steerable by hand levers by a pedestrian driver. It is used for shallow soil tillage. Mainly used for tilling small areas in horticulture and gardening.
Certain power tillers can also be steered from a seat attached to a trailer or implement.
Large tractors may incorporate a tiller that does the same work as power tiller tillers, but on a larger scale.
Power tillers generally have a power output of no more than 15 kW and are usually guided and manoeuvred by a driver on foot. They have several forward and reverse gears. They are equipped with a petrol or diesel engine. They differ from power tillers (with traction transmitted through the tines) in that power tillers themselves have two driving wheels (two-wheel tractors) and, if they are powerful enough, can be driven with a small trailer and a seated driver. Two-wheel tractors are fitted with a power take-off to drive other mechanisms (e.g., a hydraulic pump).
The range of implements that can be added to a two-wheel power tiller is wide: ploughs, tillers, seed drills, irrigation systems, trailers and others. Tractors with more powerful wheels can be fitted with a seat and rear wheels that turn them into small tractors.
