Description

Use Smoothing Medium to easily achieve marbled effects and smooth finish color combinations. It allows us to make paintings with acrylic paints with the Pouring technique with great ease. When mixed with paint, it does not change colors and makes it flow easily on surfaces. They are simply poured into mixes and create amazing effects. Once the colors are dry, a spectacular shine is achieved by applying the Pouring Medium itself as a final finish.

  • Marbling effect in creations

  • Psychedelic applications

Application tips

  • Individually mix each selected color with Pouring Medium in an individual container.

    • Very fluid acrylic paints - 2 parts paint to 1 part Pouring Medium Acrylic craft paints - 1 part paint to 1 part Pouring Medium Medium consistency acrylic paints - 1 part paint per 2-3 parts of Pouring Medium High consistency acrylic paints - 1 part of paint per 5-6 parts of Pouring Medium.
    • Once each color is mixed with the Medium, stir each mixture slowly to avoid generating too many bubbles.

    • After having all the colors prepared individually, we will proceed to the application.

    • Infinity of application techniques can be used, which will obtain different effects, depending on the creativity of the artist

    POURING TECHNIQUE

    • Put each of the mixtures in a single container, without stirring, letting one fall on top of the other.

    • Normally, the first color left in the container will be the last to appear on the surface and probably the most outstanding.

    • Place the support that we are going to decorate on the mouth of the container and turn both at the same time, so that the container is upside down.

    • If it is not possible, due to the size of the support, quickly turn the container upside down on the support.

    • Immediately lift the container, letting out all the contents.

    • Once emptied, begin to tilt the surface, in order to create the waters or veins, until the surface is completely covered.

    DIRECT POURING TECHNIQUE

    • Keeping the color mixtures separated in each of their containers, alternately pour each one directly onto the surface.

    • You can tilt the surface to create a marble pattern.

    CONCENTRIC DISCHARGE

    • Pour the individual color mixtures directly onto the surface, layering them on top of each other like a puddle.

    • You can tilt the surface to move the paint and create the effects.

    MULTIPLE DISCHARGE

    • It can be used when the surface to be decorated is very large, such as a large canvas, so that if we only drop the product in the center, it would cost us a lot make it reach the ends of the piece.

    • Therefore, we can prepare various mixtures to pour into various containers and place these all over the surface, for example, at the four ends.

    • Raise the containers to drop the mixtures and tilt the surface to move the paint and create the effects.
