Easy to install the Equatair recuperator:

1. Place the cast iron element under its wooden logs and / or on top of the deco kit (iron wood easel that holds the firewood in the chimineas) specially designed for this use.

2. Connect the flexible metal connection or tube to the fan that you have placed either to the left or right hand side of the fireplace.

3. Done! You can light your fire and within ten minutes, the heat recuperator will heat the place efficiently and pleasantly.

How does the Equatair heat recuperator work?:

The fan extracts the air from the tank and sends it to the extension or flexible tube, then to the heat recuperator placed in the heart of the embers that absorbs the maximum of hot air to spread it later throughout the room.

Is the heat recovery system effective?

The air travels 1.70 metres (the total length of the cast iron extension, unwound) to the hottest part of the chimney (750 to 850 ° C) and then expands directly into the room when it has reached its maximum temperature. Twenty minutes after lighting the fire, the air already expands at 200 °C, and can reach 350 °C after one hour. As it is ventilated dry air, there is no risk of burning; The principle is the same as that of a hair dryer. With a heating capacity of 7,000 watts, the Equatair Classic can heat up to 230 m3.

The width of the cast iron element (50 centimetres) allows this heat recuperator to be placed even in small chimneys; in large chimneys, it corresponds to the effective width of the part where the firewood is later burned called ashtray (a trunk of one meter only burns 60 cm of ashtray); An iron element with a wider heat recovery iron would be less efficient.

Does a heat recuperator really save money?

The fan consumption is very low (35 W). In addition, to optimize the efficiency of the heat recuperator , it is not necessary to maintain large flames, good embers are sufficient.

Do you want to hide the flexible cover? There are several possibilities available to you (in all these cases, the flexible cover can be replaced by a steel tube with a diameter of 48.3 mm, it is a standard dimension in heating, another name: 40- 49):
- 1. You can drill the jamb of your chimney to pass directly from the fan to the heating body; This is particularly the case in deep chimneys (a).
- 2. If you have a log niche under the chimney, you can place the fan and pierce the floor of the home to bring the air directly to the heating body.- 3. The fan can also be placed in a crawl space, basement or cellar (c), and even outside (d). Under these conditions, it should simply be protected from moisture. We recommend that you insert a small electric programmer that will stop the fan a few hours after it has fallen asleep.
If you want to move the fan away from the chimney, you can extend the duct to a maximum length of four meters (the duct is available in lengths of 1 m or 1.25 m. In the same way and from the exit of the device, you can take the hot air to another room. On the other hand, you will have to insulate the air duct taking into account its high temperatures.
