Precious corten steel kit composed of 5 edges and 5 curved stakes of 1.00 m in length that form a diameter of 150cm. It is available in different heights. Thickness 1.5mm. The rounded edge offers more security for our projects where the filling is below our edge.
Corten edges undergo forced oxidation at the factory. Once installed in your garden, the oxidation phenomenon continues to stabilize allowing you to show a wonderful result.
This high-end steel alloy, much appreciated by architects, has a very aesthetic rusty appearance with the peculiarity of not degrading over time. Corten steel edges resist extreme weather conditions.
These border pieces give a contemporary and rustic touch to the design of your spaces, highlighting your achievements.
Corten steel is a type of steel made with a chemical composition that gives it special characteristics to its oxidation that allow it to protect the workpiece against atmospheric corrosion, without practically affecting its produced characteristics. This feature allows this outdoor material not to deteriorate. Its rusty appearance is highly valued as it integrates perfectly into modern areas or rustic spaces, giving it an inimitable aesthetic!
Assembly is really easy.
What is corten?
The Corten edges are made of non-slip steel against surface corrosion, which makes them resistant to extreme weather conditions.
Cor-Ten is a steel that can be used without surface treatment and that is protected against corrosion by the formation of a self-protective oxide layer on the metal under the influence of weather conditions. atmospheric. This oxide layer protects the metal it is on by strongly retarding further oxidation. Therefore, Cor-Ten has a much longer life than conventional steel.
This particularly modern, high-end alloy steel looks like rusted steel, but doesn't fade.
There are 2 types of Corten: A and B:
The Corten edges presented here are in Corten A, ideal for this type of product.
Corten A is a steel alloy to which chromium, copper and phosphorus have been added during casting.
These elements have been added to increase its resistance to corrosion and atmospheric attack by forming a self-protective layer of oxides on the base metal, under the influence of atmospheric conditions (definition according to AFNOR).
This patina evolves over time. Therefore, some nuances may appear depending on exposure conditions in inclement weather and light/sun orientation. Each piece is unique and will evolve over time.
Corten steel is covered by the NF EN 10025-5 standard.
Patented model, the CORTEN border allows the realization of ALL shapes and contours without tools: right, acute or obtuse angles, curves of all rays or simply straight lines.
Use CORTEN edging to outline your lawns, driveway or garden.
Very easy installation: without sand, concrete and without tools to buy separately. Simply drive the rim to the required depth with a mallet, protecting the rim with a block of wood. For really rough terrain, first draw a groove to lay the border.
