The history of the Teka brand begins in 1924, when Karl Thielman founded an agricultural machinery company in Germany. During the first years of life, the activity of the company is based on the manufacture of tools and machinery for agriculture.
Shortly thereafter, the company began working on the production of stainless steel, an essential step in the company's history.
In 1957, Helmut Klein joined the company as a partner. It was at that moment when Teka was registered as a brand. The word Teka is the result of the fusion of the names of both founders: Karl Thielman & Helmut Klein.
The company is internationally recognized as one of the pioneering brands in the birth of built-in appliances for the kitchen.
In 1964, the company established itself in Spain as part of a process of great international expansion, in which during the following years it began activities on five continents. During this period, the brand's products obtained great recognition, and innumerable international awards, thanks to the design and high quality of its kitchen and bathroom products.
In 2016, Teka carried out the largest product renewal in its entire history, launching the Wish range, which represented the largest investment in the company's history, renewing all its designs and factories.
In 2018, the brand presents its new slogan "Where life is cooked", with the largest campaign in the company's history, for which a short film is produced, directed by the director Marina Seresesky, nominated for a Goya and whose music is provided by Glenn Hansard, winner of an Oscar for best original music.
