Private garden owners, builders, fruit growers and nature conservationists use our products every day. Like forestry offices, forest managers, construction companies, nature conservation organizations, universities, agricultural institutions, and scientific research groups at home and abroad. The experience gained from these activities is constantly being incorporated into our products and helps us to further develop our range to achieve optimal occupancy success and to offer continuous improvements and new solutions. Therefore, we expressly invite you to tell us about your wishes and experiences so that we can offer you and our animal world the best possible product. In addition to the uncompromising choice of materials in terms of durability and ecological balance, the basic idea underlying our actions and philosophy has always been surprisingly simple and yet quite straightforward from the start: "Produce the best nesting caves and species protection products (of the world) respecting nature ".

Keeping track of this statement for so long is not always easy, especially in our ever-spinning world. For three generations of family ownership, knowledge of our roots guarantees continuity and gives our customers the certainty that SCHWEGLER, with its diversity of products, is and will continue to be a reliable partner in practical nature conservation work.

Why SCHWEGLER wood concrete?

Our high-quality SCHWEGLER wood and concrete nesting aids are species-appropriate, breathable, resistant to weathering and other adverse effects such as rot or woodpecker attacks. Great success with the highest occupancy rates has been scientifically proven for decades, including countless recommendations from leading international nature conservation associations, government institutions, non-profit organizations, and enthusiastic customers. Nesting aids perform their service reliably for many years and decades, but at the same time use few resources in their production. After their useful life, the environmental impact is minimal and, even without special disposal, they will not represent a foreign body in nature in the long term. We pay particular attention to a healthy ecological balance when manufacturing and purchasing materials: we generally use wood from domestic sources (if necessary, in the case of panel products, usually with a sustainability certificate) and ensure short delivery and distribution channels for low power consumption. In the event that a part of our nest boxes breaks down, we continue to offer you replacement parts even after decades.

Our wood and wood concrete products are manufactured exclusively in our factory in Germany. As far as possible, we buy raw materials of German or European production to fulfill our responsibilities here as well. We pack our products with the least possible use of plastics and we also reuse existing outer packaging (eg cardboard). We send the orders by parcel service in a CO2-neutral way, in case of shipping on pallets we optimize the packaging, for example with recycled paper and cardboard.

All this is not an idea that was born in a marketing department, but an important part of our company philosophy since the founding of the company. We take our responsibility in this area very seriously and try to meet our high standards here as well, especially by consistently adhering to social and environmental standards. Nature conservation is not limited to installing a nesting aid. Production, care, repair and disposal are also important aspects.

The goal of our efforts is simple but very demanding: to allow wild animals to survive in our modern world - not only now but also in the future - to preserve it for future generations and also to pass on our enthusiasm for it.
