It is the early 19th century that two great families have forged the reputation of SABATIER knives: the SABATIER du Moutier (Lower Town of Thiers) and the SABATIER de Bellevue (Upper Town of Thiers). Today, only the SABATIER family of Bellevue remains, always in the same direction. It continues to manufacture high-end kitchen knives for 8 generations under the name: ETS Sabatier Aîné & Perrier.
In 1834, the SABATIER of Bellevue added the acronym "K" to their name to differentiate themselves from the SABATIER of Moutier. This "K" is a very old mark of Thiers, which can be found in the city archives, engraved on the Silver Table of the cutlery, on the date of June 7, 1813, at number 231.
This brand, whose coastline has never ceased to be a safe bet, continues today to witness the experience of this famous Thiers cutlery and high-quality manufacturing.
KNIVES FORGED IN A SINGLE PIECE OF METAL
All of our forged kitchen knives are completely forged from a single piece of metal (blade - indate - silk) with Z50C13 steel. The manufacture is exclusively Thiers according to the traditional techniques that have made the world reputation of the SABATIER AINÉ & PERRIER house for more than 200 years.
All our forged knives are signed K Sabatier by Sabatier Aîné & Perrier to guarantee the quality of Auvergne cutlery products. It is the guarantee of the prestigious past perpetuated by the family tradition for 8 generations in Bellevue.
Today, Thiers cutlery is also converted to online cutlery in order to offer more services to its customers while maintaining the knowledge of Auvergne craftsmanship.
