NPG contested the result without success.
In October 2015 NPG announced that it was filing a voluntary bankruptcy in order to ensure the viability and continuity of the company's activity.
In 2016, NPG obtained the patent for its Smart TV developed under the Android system, granted by UPSTO (United States Patent and Trademarkt Office). NPG began patenting the development of its smart television under the Android system in 2013 to determine if the creation was patentable.
