Motorola Mobility LLC, marketed as Motorola, is a US telecommunications and consumer electronics company and a subsidiary of the Chinese technology conglomerate Lenovo. The company mainly manufactures smartphones and other mobile devices running the Android operating system.

In 2011, Motorola Inc. was divided into two independent firms from each other. Motorola Mobility was born as a spin-off with what was Motorola's arm in the field of telephones, while Motorola Solutions kept the part of equipment such as servers and telecommunication networks after the renaming of the original name. Therefore, Motorola's direct legal successor is Motorola Solutions. In August 2011, it was acquired by Google for approximately $ 12.5 billion. Due to economic losses, on January 29, 2014 it sold to the Chinese company Lenovo for 2.91 billion dollars.
