More information about Benetton

Benetton's history began in 1955 in Ponzano, a town in the Italian province of Veneto. Luciano Benetton lived there. He was the oldest of four brothers. He was a young man in his twenties who worked selling newspapers in Treviso. It was then that he saw that people wanted colors in their lives, especially in their clothes.

Benetton is an Italian clothing brand. Its bases began with the creation of sweaters in 1955 when the young Luciano Benetton realized that what people were looking for in their clothing was the presence of bright colors, something that in the 50s was not as marked as in today or in the following decades with the rise of other cultural movements. In this way, the 20-year-old Benetton would acquire the use of a weaving machine to make a first collection of bright colored garments that he would sell in local stores with great success, which could well be considered as the beginnings of what is now a great company.

Time passed and in a decade Benetton became a whole brand with its own stores, then with the passage of time the consolidation of the brand worldwide would come, reaching new markets and carrying out subdivisions in their products to be able to reach different audiences in a better way.

Today its products include clothing not only for women but also for men and children, in addition to having lines of underwear, perfumes, personal hygiene, accessories and complements, household items, kitchen accessories , etc.
