1862

Göran Fredrik Göransson founded Högbo Stål and Jernwerks AB in Sweden to produce the highest quality steel, pioneered by the Bessemer process.

1886

Göran used the highest quality steel, previously used to make fishing hooks, to begin production of our first saw blades. To communicate its quality, each saw bore the trademark of the fish and the hook.

1892

Johan Petter Johansson patented the first adjustable wrench, serving as the basis for the current adjustable wrench - a world-renowned Swedish invention.

1916

Berndt August Hjorth bought Enköpings Mekaniska Verkstad entirely from Johan Petter Johansson - and shortened its name to be known as Bahco.

1969

The introduction of the Sandflex® bimetal saw blade ushered in a new era in metal cutting technology.

1982

Bahco introduces the world's first ergonomic screwdriver. Bahco ERGO ™ tools are recognized with international awards.

2013

The BETMS Tool Management System is launched at the Equip'Auto fair in Paris winning a silver medal for Innovation.

2017

Bahco introduces its range of storage called the one-of-a-kind Storage Hub tailored to European needs.
