Etymology

Word that comes from the Greek "Kratos", which means strength, and "agein", which means to drive.

Situation

In areas with a Mediterranean climate, outdoors all year round. In colder areas it should be protected from frost, especially small specimens.

Irrigation

Abundant in summer, and moderate in winter. Keep the soil moist.

Subscriber

Spring and fall, not during flowering.

Transplant

Every year at the beginning of spring or fall.

SUBSTRATUM

100% Akadama, or mixed with 20% volcanic gravel.

PRUNING

It is done at the beginning of spring bud break.

GRIPPING

Cutting to two leaves, when the bud has emitted 6 to 8 leaves.

WIRING

Throughout the year.

It is a tree very resistant to strong winds. Its flowers emit a pleasant smell.
