Bonsai and Pre-Bonsai Ligustrum sp (Privet)

Technical Characteristics:

• Location: In areas with a Mediterranean climate, outdoors in full sun all year round. In colder areas, protect from frost.
• Irrigation: It should be moderate, since it is very sensitive to excesses, turning its leaves yellow and falling as a result.
• Family : Rubiaceae
• Subscriber: Spring and autumn.
• Transplant: Every 2 years in spring.
• Substrate: 100% Akadama, or mixed with 20% volcanic gravel.
• Pinching: The pinching, when it has developed four pairs of leaves, cut leaving two pairs
• Pruning :Can be done throughout the year. It responds well to drastic pruning, regrowth even in old wood. Suckers at the base of the trunk should be removed.
• Wiring: Spring
