The first thing to bear in mind is that cement cleaners are products with a high corrosion power, so it is essential to protect your hands and eyes with gloves and glasses. And of course, it is not advisable to mix it with other products and it must always be prevented from coming into contact with metal surfaces.
Having said that, here is another piece of advice from Brycus: before applying the product to the floor, it is always a good idea to test it on a small, inconspicuous area to check that the surface is really resistant to the compound and will not be damaged.
To perform a perfect cleaning you will only need
- HG Cement Remover: you must choose the appropriate cement remover depending on the surface you want to clean (marble, granite, tiles, natural stone...).
- A bucket
- A brush
- A broom
- A mop
If what you need is to remove thick layers of cement located, the procedure is as follows:
- 1º- To clean the thick layers of cement located it is convenient to soften them previously with a little water and remove the remains with a spatula or scraper. If the surface is delicate, it is advisable to use a plastic scraper.
- 2º- Dilute the product in water in the proportion indicated by the manufacturer. Normally, the proportion is 25%, that is, for each measure of the product you should use 4 parts of water.
- 3º- Apply the solution on the stain and let it act for about five or ten minutes depending on the type of surface and the thickness of the cement stain. If the stain is very difficult, you can apply the product directly on it. In any case, never exceed the times indicated so as not to damage the surface.
- 4º- Rub with a hard bristle brush until you see that the cement has disappeared completely
- 5º- With the help of a mop and abundant water, clean the surface as many times as necessary so that there are no remains of the product.
After a building site, cement stains can cover a large area of the floor. In this case, they will be less thick but more widespread. To clean this surface you only have to follow the following steps.
- 1º- Remove the dust with a brush and wet the area to be cleaned with water.
- 2º- Dilute the product in water. In this case you must mix half a litre of the product for every five litres of water.
- 3º- With the help of a sweeping brush, spread the solution over a surface of about ten or 15 square meters (it is not advisable to treat the whole surface simultaneously) and leave it to act for about five or ten minutes.
- 4º- After this time, rub the surface with the brush.
- 5º- With a clear mop with abundant water until the surface is very clean.
- 6º- If after having concluded the operation it is observed that there are still remains of cement, it is convenient to carry out the process again but the proportions of the dissolution should never be increased
