Therefore, you can choose the type of jet you want. In today's Brycus tips you will learn how to install a shower column.
Installing a shower column is easier than many people think. Most of the time, you won't need to hire a plumber or have any specialized knowledge. If you know how to use the tools that we will list below, you can do it yourself. And it shouldn't take you more than thirty minutes. Next, we tell you what are the steps to follow.
1. Verify that you have the necessary items, tools and parts
To install a shower column, you will need several items and tools. Make sure you have all of this on hand:
• 1 pliers
• 1 diamond tile bit
• 1 drill bit for concrete
• 1 anti-mold silicone cartridge
• 1 marker
• 1 rubber mallet
• 1 meter
• 1 spirit level
• 1 extruder gun
• 1 screwdriver
• 1 drill
• 2 dowels the thickness of the bits
On the other hand, the shower column comes with several elements. Before you begin, verify that you are not missing any of the following parts:
• 1 artichoke
• 1 shower column with supports included
• 1 shower hose with its joints
• screws and nuts for fixing
2. Decide where to install the shower column
To determine how high to mount the shower column, keep in mind that it must be fixed above the tap. You should also take into account the height of the people who will use it. At a minimum, the artichoke should be about 15 cm above the tallest user. Draw horizontal lines on the wall to mark the top and bottom ends.
Now, measure the width of the artichoke and draw a vertical line that connects with the horizontals and that coincides with the midpoint of the column. With the spirit level, check that the lines you have drawn are completely straight. Finally, make marks at the points where you will make the holes for the upper and lower supports of the shower column.
3. Make the holes and insert the dowels
After closing the stopcock in the house, insert a diamond bit into the drill and drill the tile at the point where you will place the shower column bracket. Then, put in a concrete bit and drill the wall. Repeat the same procedure to drill the point where you will attach the bottom bracket.
The next step is to place the silicone cartridge in the extruder gun and fill in the newly made holes. Next, hammer in the dowels with a rubber mallet.
4. Install the shower column
Attach the shower column supports with the screws and nuts that are part of the fixing kit. Fit the bar onto the bottom bracket and then onto the top bracket.
Now, screw the small nozzle of the shower hose onto the tap. Next, screw the large nozzle onto the artichoke. Make sure that both nozzles have their respective gaskets and are properly positioned. Tighten them with the help of the pliers.
5. Check the operation of the shower
Open the stopcock in the house and turn the shower tap to confirm that everything is working properly. Verify that the temperature and flow can be adjusted correctly and make sure that the water does not leak anywhere.
There you have it. With these Brycus tips, everything is ready to take a relaxing shower.
