If you usually follow our Brycus advice, the one we give you today can be very useful. Do you want to give your kitchen a new look without asking for help? Don't worry, because below we will teach you how to assemble a kitchen kit step by step so that you can easily renovate it and save some money in the process.
Necessary materials
At Brycus we have everything you need to assemble any type of kit furniture, including kitchen kits. In addition, for this task you will need a star-tip screwdriver, a wood drill and mounting silicone. You may also need a wood saw, preferably a jigsaw. Having a spirit level will also be very useful to obtain a better finish, as well as having some sergents, a good nylon hammer, melamine strips for edging and contact glue.
Steps to follow
The first step will be to assemble the modules following the instructions given by the manufacturer. Lag screws and dowels are used to join the pieces, which are usually included in the kit. Once they are assembled, we must install the legs for the lower furniture, and the rear fittings for the upper furniture.
The next step will be to place the plates on the wall at the appropriate height, and then hang the upper modules. If we have a spirit level, we can use it to level them and, if necessary, adjust them using the adjusting screws that are included in the hangers. The lower modules, for their part, can also be adjusted thanks to the telescopic legs that we have put on them.
Once we have placed all the modules in place and leveled, we can proceed to join them together with the help of some lag screws. At this point, we can help ourselves to a sergeant to hold the modules together while we work. Then, if we wish, we can cover the lag screws that are more exposed with trim caps and thus obtain a better finish.
Now we will prepare the countertop. After making the hole for the sink with the help of a jigsaw, we will place the piece on the lower modules and screw it on well. Then, we will seal the joints with silicone to prevent water from leaking, we will trim the countertop with a strip of melamine to give it a better finish, and we will install the kitchen and the sink.
Finally, all that remains is to install the drawers and doors. First we will assemble each drawer following the instructions given by the manufacturer, and we will fix the guides inside the module with the help of some lag screws. After placing the drawers in place, we will proceed to install the doors. The hinges, in addition to holding them, allow to adjust their height with the help of a screw.
Now we only have to screw the handles in place. Thus, if you have followed these Brycus tips, you will have the kitchen finished and ready to be used.
