Remove the old toilet
The first thing you should do to replace the toilet pack of your bath room is, logically, remove the old one. But, before doing it, you have to measure the distance between the wall where the toilet sits and the side screws that are at the base of it. Thus, you will have the measurement of the drain axis and you will know which one you should buy new.
Once that previous step has been completed, you can start your reform. The first thing you have to do is turn off the water tap and empty the tank of the cistern. Next, remove the buttons from it and also the spout where the water enters. Before removing the tank, it is advisable to put a container underneath so that the water that may have remained does not fall to the ground. Then remove the screws that fix the toilet to the floor and also the glue that sticks it to it.
Once all these steps are done and the rubber with which the fluid drain is sealed is removed, you can remove the toilet. But, before putting the new one, we give you a brycus tip: remove all the remains of old materials that are still stuck to the ground well. If you don't keep that surface clean, when you put the new toilet in, it could leave gaps where the liquids come out. To do this, for example, use a spatula. In addition, you can cover the old screw holes with special putty, as long as they are not suitable for the new one.
Install the new toilet pack
The first part of your plumbing work is done. Now you have to install the new toilet. First, place this on the ground right where you are going to drop it. With a pencil, mark on the ground the points where you should make the screw holes for the new toilet and remove it.
Next, drill through a drill and replace the glued toilet on its base or on the floor. Its holes have to match the ones you have marked on the surface above. Try to put weight on it so that it sits properly and is correctly leveled. Then, using a wrench or other tool, put the screws in and tighten them securely.
And now another tip brycus: Although you have glued to glue the base of the wc, also use silicone to seal its union with the ground well. Sometimes the tiles in this one are a little uneven and there may be gaps that will cause liquid to leak.
The next step is to install the accessory that the cistern brings to load and unload it. You must do it before placing this and according to the manufacturer's instructions. Next, place the tank on it by matching the screws on it with the existing holes in the wall. And then put the seal on the toilet.
Finally, install the toilet cover that corresponds to the model you have purchased, fixing it with bolts. And reopen the stopcock in order to circulate the water. Having done this, it is recommended that you flush the tank a few times to see if there are any leaks anywhere.
As you can see, it is not difficult to change the toilet pack by yourself. Just follow these simple instructions and tips. But, before doing so, discover great deals on brycus.es and choose the toilet that best suits your needs.
