Your essentials in your toolbox

An excellent investment for the home are the work tools, because it is essential to have a toolbox that covers any need.

If you buy the right tools for little hands, those small tasks will not only be easier, but you will be able to do with little much.

Consider this list of essentials that we detail below.

Hammers

For bricklayer, locksmith or cabinetmaker the hammer is an essential. You can use it in almost any do-it-yourself job, to insert nails and even to remove them if you choose the two-end nail model.

The hammer handle can be made of varnished wood or a coated handle. Both allow a good grip due to the shape of the piece and its texture.

Chisels

With them you will be able to carve, profile and separate a material in an easy way, although their applications are very wide being able to be required in carpentry, goldsmithery or forge, to eliminate residues of the surfaces.

You will find this basic for little hands in different sizes, with a highly robust material that can last for years.

Saws

We all know what a saw is, but it is more common to associate it with carpentry. However, this will be very useful in DIY, to repair wooden furniture and cut all kinds of thin material.

There are open and closed handle models, so you can choose the one that gives you better grip and stability during cutting. Choose saws with tempered and stainless steel blades to avoid fail do-it-yourself scenes that damage the finishes.

Files

Files can be round, triangular or flat; this is a lightweight tool that fits into any handbag or box. A firm grip is needed so that it does not escape from the hands when pressure is applied to the surface to be filed. For this, it is important to have an ergonomic handle.

It removes roughness and perfects irregular cuts thanks to its textured steel material.

Spatulas

Sometimes we need to improve a surface without having to smooth its particles as we would with a file. Instead, we will use the spatula to remove any residue, either paint or dirt that has adhered too much.

For housing it is common to use the regular blade spatula, which is not too narrow or too wide. This will also help us to mix liquids, paints or material to seal imperfections in the walls.

Level

Another indispensable tool that will help us carry out repairs with excellent results. With the level of hand you will be able to align of specific form in masonry, although their uses are also applied in small tasks.

With digital or bubble models, you will have the possibility to choose the most exact and digital inclinometers to help you install a window frame or build a simple wall.

Pliers

If you have a leisure activity or do some craft, sooner or later you will need a precise, strong and safe pliers. It is very easy to use and can be used for different types of repairs that require adjustment and pressure.

With little you can take advantage of this useful tool for do-it-yourself, for the garden, to handle metal parts and twist material.

It's one of the smallest tools, made of metal alloy and a non-slip coated handle.

Pliers

Like the pliers, this tool will make your life easier when it comes to repairing and modifying damage at home.

With its thinner tip finish, it also allows you to make simple cuts in cables, rods, wires and tough plastics.

Although its presentation includes measures of up to 20 centimeters, perhaps it is much more important its ergonomic benefit to the user and the resistance it exerts on the material to be cut.

Flexometer

Even in leisure repairs, it is essential to use high quality tools and thus avoid easy DIY with poorly maintained finishes. That's why measuring correctly before manufacturing or repairing is so important and for this we will use a flexometer.

Most of them allow to visualize distances in different metric systems such as centimeters, inches, feet and meters.

The tape amplitude of more than ten meters will make it easier to measure walls, estimate spaces accurately before making repairs and better plan the cutting of materials from their measurements.

Do not forget that your toolbox can also include cutting pieces such as scissors, razors, keys, screwdrivers, brushes, staplers, among others.
